    Security Architect/Lead Security Engineer – The Lead Security Engineer/Security Architect will work as a member of the Information Security team and will provide overall direction, life cycle management and leadership for all Information Security architecture and technology.


    The Lead Security Engineer/Security Architect is a hands-on role that involves evaluating and enforcing application security in all phases of the software development life cycle. This position will work closely with our development teams to define the application security best practices, perform software architecture and design reviews, conduct white box security testing, and support the identification, interpretation, and remediation of vulnerabilities across a variety of applications, programming languages, and platforms. Specific duties will include providing technical security direction, oversight and implementation of the following:

    • Vulnerability Scanning and remediation.
    • Deep knowledge of functional and performance aspects of following security technologies: IDS, Web App, SIEM, Firewall configuration, deployment, and maintenance.
    • Certification and Accreditation.
    • Deployment, implementation and strategy of tools and related Information Security Management Systems.
    • Provides regular status reporting of security team projects to senior management and customers.
    • Responsible for process definition and assurance for information security functions, ensuring configuration documents for deployed security solutions remain current and complete.
    • Participate in management of customer satisfaction, best practice and benchmarking.
    • Maintain and expert knowledge in the field of Information Security and the related issues, systems, processes, products, and services.


    • Excellent overall experience (12 years+)
    • Strong experience in Threat Modeling of complex security systems
    • Experience in delivering comprehensive architecture specifications for complex security solutions
    • Expert knowledge of information security principles, web applications and familiarity with malicious code and common techniques used by hackers
    • Knowledge of cloud-based infrastructures and how they affect security needs (familiarity with Amazon Web Services, Softlayer is a plus)
    • Deep technical understanding of and experience with security technologies including, but not limited to, intrusion detection/prevention, event correlation, firewall, antivirus, anti-spam, policy enforcement, patch/configuration management, usage monitoring, audit, secure application development, etc.
    • Experience with cryptographic protection mechanisms
    • Executive presence; highly effective communicator; well-honed influencing and negotiating skills

    Preferred Additional Skills: 

    • CISSP, CEH, GCIA, GCIH certifications are strongly desired.
    • Strong team and career leadership abilities desired.
    • Experience in leading information security projects 
    • Ability to make decisions quickly as well as demonstrating sound judgment in balancing risk with business needs to offer customers and management optimal security solutions.
    • Published articles or experience presenting topics in the field of information security.
    • Self-driven and resourceful to achieve goals independently as well as work well in groups.
    • Flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules and priorities.
    • The ability to socialize ideas, make recommendations and gather team consensus to move forward.
